What we are doing
Under the theme “Powering collective action to respond to the climate emergency,” Daring Cities 2024 aims to serve as a pivotal platform for advancing multilevel and collective climate action through a holistic and integrated approach. Daring Cities 2024 recognises the interconnected factors that play a role in the climate emergency. Representatives from different levels of government are invited, as well as other stakeholders. The activities and events organised under DC2024 aim to promoted leadership, knowledge exchange, and the implementation of ambitious climate strategies towards the upcoming UNFCCC COP29 in Baku and COP30 in Belém. Additionally, DC2024 showcases innovative climate actions, and fosters ambitious and unlikely collaborations. Through DC2024 local and regional government (representatives) become leaders in climate action and climate emergency.
