The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) province comprises of the two main islands of Lombok and Sumbawa. Its ambitious plans to reach 100% renewable energy and net-zero emissions by mid-century must contend with the fact that it is an archipelago, which brings with it unique challenges. All islands in the province, big and small, must be included in any energy transition.
