This Good Practice explores how Goyang, Republic of Korea, is building a smart mobility system that combines AI and data with a people-centered approach. Through initiatives including open labs, digital mapping, the Smart IoT Walkway, and an autonomous bus, the city demonstrates how engaging residents as partners, piloting solutions before scaling, and building a strong data foundation can support smarter and more sustainable mobility.
The publication is part of the Good Practice Series from the Kaohsiung–ICLEI Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Community of Practice, sharing practical experiences and lessons from member cities to inform action worldwide.
