What we did

The workshop is important because it seeks to improve the capacity of local governments to develop bankable projects that, over time, are sustainable and replicable. The workshop is important because it seeks to improve the capacity of local governments to develop bankable projects that, over time, are sustainable and replicable. Currently, the lack of design in solar energy projects makes financing difficult, hence the importance of creating proven methodologies to develop pilot projects in an area with great potential such as solar energy.

What we achieved

ICLEI was in charge of organizing the workshop, considering the audience that attended the event. A useful methodology was developed, based on different research and contexts in the region, to design projects in areas of sustainability, specifically, solar energy. The methodology was adapted based on the target audience and the specific goals sought in this workshop, with the aim of creating an impact in the short and medium term.
