Richmond, VA contracted ICLEI USA to complete a 2022 community-wide greenhouse-gas inventory, QAQC of their 2018 community-wide greenhouse-gas inventory, and a presentation comparing the two inventories. These inventories continue the great work that Richmond has done since its 2008 baseline inventory and will help to inform where actions need to be accelerated in order to accomplish the City’s mitigation goals

What we achieved
ICLEI USA conducted a 2022 community-wide greenhouse gas inventory following the Global Community Basic Protocol (GCP Basic). Upon completion of the inventory, a business-as-usual forecast and science-based target was calculated for 2030. Finally, a presentation was prepared that compared the two inventories.
