What we did

There are 56 Korean local government members as of 2023. Each of them has different environment to implement policies for the SDGs, which requires KO to analyze the current status of each local government and find a respective way to support.

What we achieved

KO analyzes the current status of Korean local governments’ policies on sustainability so that it could provide its members with more tailored support. The report includes local governments’ cooperation activities with ICLEI after joining as members, their administration system for implementing the SDGs, each member’s policies relevant to ICLEI KO’s projects, and suggestions for strengthening cooperation between members and the office.
