What we did

Hosted by the City of Kobe as part of its 30th anniversary project for the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. Mayors from eight countries (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, UK, USA, Portugal, and Japan) were invited to share lessons learned from the earthquake and the recovery process from the City of Kobe, and to discuss how to prepare for and respond to disaster crises such as earthquakes and floods. ICLEI Japan is recognized as a co-host of the conference and supporting their planning and preparation.
