ICLEI KO Autumn Seminar

ACTIVITY INFORMATION
What we did

The importance of nexus based approach among different sectors related to climate action has been consistently emphasized. To enhance policy effectiveness and resource efficiency, climate action policies need to be integrated and considered collectively. The Framework Act on Carbon Neutrality and Green Growth for Coping with the Climate Crisis also specifies integrated policy activities, encompassing climate, ecosystem restoration, and circular economy, as requirements for designating 'carbon-neutral cities.' This is outlined in Article 29, which highlights an integrated approach focusing on the interrelation and integration of sectors. Through this seminar, ICLEI Korea provides opportunities for member cities to learn best practices covering carbon reduction, nature-based solutions, and the circular economy and discuss integrated strategies to effectively tackle the climate crisis.
