ACTIVITY INFORMATION
What we are doing

The energy consumed by buildings are one third of the global energy demand. The global building energy demand can be reduced significantly by adopting energy efficiency practices across regions. The BEA project aims to break down the barriers to efficient buildings which is predominantly institutional and behavioral through global and multi-sector collaboration. It engages with its partner cities networks and facilitates access to global expertise in building efficiency and a venue for engagement with private sector partners. Nagpur city will prioritize policies and implement actions with the objective of increasing building energy efficiency in its jurisdiction. Based on the needs of the city, ICLEI will match the expertise, technical resources and tools required for these activities.
