The program called for collecting electronic discards for
proper waste management, complete component recycling
and to prevent their mixing with household garbage at the
city dump.
A business located at Zacapu, Michoacán, periodically collects
agriculture-sector plastics to reduce incineration and
resultant air pollution.
The plan calls for fire control at the outskirts of the municipal
open-air dump, separation of agricultural plastics from
the waste stream and garbage burial to avoid polluting gas
emissions.
The local government installed its storage pool to conclude
wastewater treatment plant construction; to date the plant
is 85% complete.
Sewage vats were repaired and reinforced, reactivating the use of
treated water for municipal park and greenspace irrigation.
The project consists of the management and acquisition of
7000 shade tree individuals to be planted in agricultural lots,
greenspaces, commercial areas, schools and communities as
a means of reducing temperatures and avoiding erosion
