Sustainable Urban Energy Development In The TRACE Tool - Lampang City Municipality

This project was supported by World Bank who helping in potential analysis of energy consuming in the town by using of "TRACE tool", and the result is a guide to develop the project in order to improve the efficency of energy consumption and reduce GHGs emission. Finally, Lampang province is becoming the low canbon city.

This project was supported by Provincial Electricity Authority of Lampang province. Street light about 825 bulbs have been changed form High Presser Sodium 250 watt to be LED light bulb which can be save energy in total at least 50%.

This project is due to a very hight number of Municiple carbon footprint, from both electricity and fossile fuel use. The administrator has created the policty to reduce the energy about 10%, and this is definded as KPI. By participation of all officers, energy consumption was reduced more than our goal (10%) or about 300 tons of carbondioxide.

Moreover, this project is also encourage people to plant the trees in public space to increase GHGs absorption.
