The Danang Water Environment Improvement Project funded by JICA will build a sewer line with a large diameter to contain the initial rainfall, pumping waste water to a wastewater treatment plant to protect the seashore from pollution. In order to ensure sustainable economic development and building Da Nang as an environmental city in the coming years. According to the pre-feasibility study, the Danang Water Environment Improvement Project will invest in the construction of 5.5 km of sewers with diameters of 1,800mm- 2,200mm in the eastern area of the city; invest in the construction of 4.1 km of sewage lines with a diameter of D 1,000mm - 1,200mm in the northern area of the city by underground drilling technology. And, upgrade Son Tra wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 36,000m3/day and upgrade Phu Loc wastewater treatment plant with a capacity of 43,000m3/day with the technology of drip filter (PTF). This is the Group-A project, planned to be implemented in 7 years (2016 - 2023), approved by the Prime Minister.
