The City Council adopted the Sustainable Santa Fe Plan on October 29, 2008
The sustainable Santa Fe Plan outlines the City's program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to make the community more resilient to weather the changes that are inevitable from climate change and increased energy costs. The Plan was developed in reponse to the U.S. Conference of Mayors Climate Protection Agreement which the City adopted in 2006.
A comprehensive plan to proactively adapt to climate change effects, aiming to set a city-wide goal of adaptation to climate change impacts, develop strategies to reduce heat-island effect, protect soils, etc.
