This innovating initiative will allow the city to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, given that 53% of urban emissions are generated by transport. To complement the strategy, is necessary to encourage people to use public transport instead of private cars.
The goals will be achieved through the improvement of physical infrastructure and the efficiency of the operation, increasing coverage and optimizing the capacity of the system. The positive outcomes include the reduction of fuels consumption, pollution and further improvement of air quality and reduction in operational costs.

Besides, the access to drinking water is a priority for Montería, as a city that envisions a sustainable future that includes social equity and development of its communities.
