What we are doing

KO has conducted case studies of Korean local governments’ SD policies so that other local governments around the globe could learn about what has worked well and what has not. It also helps other ICLEI members identify solutions to common challenges.

How we are tracking

A total of 3 case studies on Korean local governments’ SD policies were conducted and publicized through KO website and newsletter. They cover 4 out of 5 ICLEI pathways towards sustainable urban development, from circular economy, nature-based economy, people-centered development to zero emission.

What we are achieving

In 2024, KO has conducted 3 case studies in total-Goyang’s Running Recycling Store, Seongseong Lake Park in Cheonan, and Green Remodeling Project of Jangyu Library, and they are available both in English and Korean.
