Alberta advances strategic partnership with New Brunswick
Premier Rachel Notley met with New Brunswick Premier Brian Gallant in Edmonton to deepen co-operation on environmental and energy initiatives.
Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our planet. Alberta has a responsibility to reduce emissions and join the global movement to address climate change.
Alberta's Climate Change Advisory Panel is engaging Albertans, Aboriginal communities, and technical stakeholders on key issues related to climate change.
They will facilitate conversations, consider input, and provide advice to Alberta's Minister of Environment and Parks.
Input from the Panel will inform a new action plan on climate change for Alberta.
The Climate Leadership Discussion Document was developed by the Government of Alberta to lay the foundation for the climate change discussions the panel will have with Albertans.
It sets out the challenges Albertans face, presents considerations and options for action, and offers crucial questions that Albertans will have the opportunity to explore.

The opportunity to provide submissions to the panel closed at midnight on October 2. All submissions have now been posted in the submission library.
Minister Shannon Phillips announced the members of Alberta's Climate Change Advisory Panel during a news conference on August 14. She also invited Albertans to go online or attend public sessions to share their thoughts on how the province can address the global issue of climate change.
