During the next two years, ICLEI will Chair the Steering Group that coordinates the 100% Renewable Energy (RE) Cities and Regions Network, leading an inclusive and cooperative effort between the city and region networks that are partners to the Global 100% RE Campaign to develop an annual work program and monitor progress and impacts.
The 100% Renewable Energy Cities & Regions Network is part of the Global 100% Renewable Energy Campaign and aims to support exchange of good practice and cooperation between cities, towns and regions that are frontrunners of the global RE transition. ICLEI supports local and subnational governments to explore, lead and drive this process in their communities.
The Global 100% RE Campaign in turn brings together stakeholders from all sectors as a coalition of the willing and committed, strengthening the dialogue about RE, building capacity, disseminating opportunities, case studies and success stories from all over the world, and defining a roadmap towards success. Campaign partners include Renewable Energy industry associations, research institutes, and city networks such as ICLEI.
If your local government has a 100%RE target or is interested in exploring such a pathway, contact firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more and join the network, and do not miss the upcoming opportunities to connect:
