Since 2010, over 600 cities have been reporting to the carbonn® Climate Registry (cCR), the world’s leading voluntary reporting platform for cities and regions to enhance transparency, accountability, and credibility of climate action. Thank you! This brief news, one of a new series of regular news updates, will help you optimize your reporting to the cCR.
Upgrade of the cCR website and database
We have obtained a lot of input from our users on the functionalities and services you need, and on areas where the Registry could improve. We have heard you! Our technical team is close to finalizing the upgrade of both the Registry website and database.
In the near future, we will be in touch to unveil the new user-friendly features to the cCR. We will organize webinars in several languages to give you an update on this (with recordings made available in case you miss them).
Very soon you will receive the improved reporting sheet – as an offline tool – that reflects the upgrades and data needed. This will be the moment when we ask for your efficient reporting to ensure your data is submitted in time for the COP22 report. We know timing will be tight, but we also know we can count on your support. In return, we will profile as many cities, towns, and regions as we can in a great COP22 update.
Reporting to NAZCA
“We can, we must, and we will take action on climate change” - Christiana Figueres, Executive Secretary, UNFCCC. This call has resulted in the creation of the NAZCA (Non-State Actor Zone for Climate Change) - a portal showing the actions that cities, companies, regions and investors are taking to address climate change. We are proud that ICLEI, through the carbonn Climate Registry (cCR), was the first data provider for the UNFCCC. We aim to continue sharing data in this transparent and motivating portal, showcasing your local climate leadership. Watch this space!
Should you have any questions or need specific information on the cCR, please do not hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We appreciate your patience during the upgrade and thank you in advance for your continued support in updating your 2016 report for the carbonn Climate Registry.
