Promoción alquiler y venta de motocicletas electricas
European project to promote a new urban mobility model, improving quality life of citizens. Reduccion of fossil fuel consumption, pollution and increase energy efficiency focused on passenger transports in the city. Murcia City Council promotes the use of electric scooters for daily transport in the city working together with private companies. One of the focus areas is to raise awareness of citizens and tourists of changing daily behaviours to promote sustainable user-friendly mobility means. Promoting the use of natural gas in Murcia Municipality. Currently the most widely used for heating and hot water energy is electricity. However the efficiency of Natural Gas and its emissions are lower than those generated in the national electricity mix. The extension of the natural gas network aims to increase access to citizens in 22 districts of Murcia. During the period 2008-2012 was given acces to 3,652 new homes. Forecasts to 2020 is to expand the supply of Natural Gas to 1,400 new dwellings / year. Start year 2008

Adquisición de vehículos híbridos y eléctricos en el parque movil municipal
Progressive introduction of hybrid or electric vehicles in the municipal park under viability and profitability criteria. Sustitución de los semáforos convencionales por LED.

Puesta en funcionamiento del centro de interpretación del Parque Forestal Municipal "El Majal Blanco"
The White Majal is a municipal forest park located in Carrascoy-El Valle Regional Park which has great environmental and cultural values. In 1990, the City Council has restored an old building in order to dedicate to Nature's Classroom, performing since various measures in the field of environmental education seminars, guided tours, trails signaling over short distances (PRs), workshops , school visits, Point Environmental Information, etc. All these actions have made the Majal Blanco become a landmark for many visitors throughout the year, both to participate in scheduled activities for tours as enjoying their environment. For this reason, the Department of Environment and Urban Quality buildt theNature Interpretive Center in 2012. This center will be equipped with different interpretive media models, reconstructions, etc. that will convey to people the knowledge necessary to facilitate the development of attitudes of respect for the environment as well as being a meeting point between the municipal work and interests of citizens. Implantación sistema de Bicicleta Publica MUyBICI
MUyBICI promotes the use of bicycles as a clean, efficient and healthy mean of transport in the city, contributing to sustainable urban mobility. In operation since 2015, its target is to cover small displacement occur daily within the city. With initially 60 parking stations, 600 bicycles and 1200 parking points, the system works on reducing the use of private car and try to improve other non-motorized means of transport such as public transport, moving on foot or private bicycle itself. MUyBICI encourages the use of clean energy using five parking stations powered by solar photovoltaic and five charging points for electric bikes. Bicycles are transported from one parking station to another using an electric vehicle- zero CO2 emissions. That allows so far to reduce 4.800 kilograms/year of CO2, compared to a conventional vehicle. The system - at no cost for Municipal Budget - is operational 365 days/24 hours and based on the last smart cities technologies. A single i-card allows the use of all public transport: tram, city buses and intercity buses. A dedicated APP (compatible with all systems) informs you at real time about the availability of bicycles in every station. Start year

This measure has already incorporated into the municipal heritage 510 ha. which added to 1.161 ha. existing totals 1671 ha. Partial plans already underway will lead to increase by 1,836 ha. that surface in the coming years. A large part of the ceded lands are part of LIC or ZEPA areas of the municipality. An estimated 25% of the area ceded under this heading in the coming years, currently found as wasteland or grassland, will be subject to reforestation, so that the effect of CO2 absorption of existing forest stands in the town will increase. The collection points will be extended underground, in a first phase, at 500.
