Urban Big Tree Conservation Project
Being part of Carbon Footprint Project make us realise that we still have a lot of old big trees in our Municipality that should be conserve as natural heritage and carbon adsorbing source of municipality. The survey was conducted by volunteers, measure height, and DBH for calculating carbon stock rate of the tree each year, and all trees also enrolled into system. Start year 2013

Food Waste Sorting Project
Municipality distributed plastic bin to households, restaurants, and markets for food waste and ask people to separate food waste from others. Municipality use this food waste to feed pigs, produce organic fertilizer and bio-fermented. The products will be use in municipal projects and distribute to the participants. Start year 2012

School Farm for Lower Food Miles and Higher Food Security Project
To decrease the food expense for students in municipal schools and to reduce carbon emission from travel for buying food, all municipal school have their own vegetable plots to reduce the food expense and carbon emission and have safe food for students. Start year 2012

Wednesday, Friday, Save us, Save the Earth Project
Campaign reduce electric use in Municipal office, especially air conditionings by limit time for using air conditioning and reduce time in every Wednesdays and Fridays which can reduce Municipality's electricity charge. Start year 2013

Waste separation by Sorting Belts project
Municipality have to pay much for waste elimination every year. The decrease in waste amount can help decrease the expense. The Munuipality try to promote waste sorting and also use sorting belt to sort waste from markets and restaurants which can separate organic waste 1.5 tons/day from over all organic waste 14 tons/day. Start year 2012

Flooding Plans of Sisaket city
Flooding plans are for prevent and help people in flood disaster. The project has set up the surveillance unit and using water level in Huai Sumran as an indicator to move people who live in high-risked area and their properties to the safe area provide by Municipality, including food, water supplies, taking care of people health, and other needs during the flood. Safety Food for Health and the Environment Project
To decrease the outbreaks of gastrointestinal disease which is one of the effects from climate change, Municipality watches out and checks up for food security quality in the area of more than 400 restaurants by examine and approve restaurants on 10 routes. Besides, the campaign for safe food is held by random testing for contaminants in both markets and restaurants and watch out for polar in used oil which may be the cause of cancer. Start year 2013

Rapid Response Unit of Dangue Fever
Municipality establishes "Rapid response unit" including well-trained PHVs and officers of Municipality's Public Health Center to work in every communities to promote destroy mosquito breeding site campaign to decrease dengue infection rate. The campaign has 3 phase; protection before the outbreaks, control during the outbreaks, and follow up after the outbreaks to decrease dengue infection rate. Start year 2014

Climate Change-Related Disease Control Training Program for Public Health Volunteers (PHV)
Division of Public Health and Environment attempt to make a better understanding and local participation in dealing with health effects which may be the result from climate change. The workshops will be held every months to emphasize information and roles, including evaluate PHVs' action in public health service and monitor infectious diseases in communities. The target is to have 496 volunteers. Start year 2014
