Through the SOURCE AND SELECTIVE COLLECTION PROGRAM OF SOLID WASTE HOUSEHOLDS, following achievements have been accomplished: Improve the management of solid household waste in 6,254 urban dwellings (35% of urban households) in Tambopata through the segregation program; Generate a "recycling culture" in the population participating in the program, through the segregation of solid waste; Reduce the amount of solid waste disposed in the municipal dump and reduce environmental pollution; Generate new jobs and boost the economic activity of recycling; and Strengthen the technical and operative capacities for the formalization and insertion of recyclers in the collection service.

Thanks to public investment, it was possible to improve the Avenida 15 de Agosto, which included 2,351.52m2 of ciclepaths. This public investment contributes to the displacement and practice of cycling and avoid the use of motorcycles within the city.
